Aircraft Finance Calculator

Plan the repayments on an aircraft from your own figures: purchase price, deposit, interest rate, term and an optional final payment. It's a planning illustration, not lender pricing, an offer or an approval. When you're ready, Christian can talk you through lenders whose policy covers the aircraft and how it will be used.

Using the aircraft finance calculator

  1. Choose the aircraft type and how it will be used if you know them. Both are optional; they help Christian see what you’re planning.

  2. Enter the purchase price, any deposit or trade-in, and an interest rate you’ve been quoted or want to test. Without a rate, the planner shows the amount financed and no repayment.

  3. Choose a term and how often you’d repay, and add a final payment (balloon) if you want to see its effect.

  4. The planner shows the repayment, the total repaid and the total interest. Copy your figures to share them with Christian.

What it doesn’t include

  • Lender fees and charges, and the lender’s own assessment.

  • GST, depreciation or other tax effects for business, charter or training use.

  • Insurance, maintenance reserves, hangarage and other operating costs.

  • Which terms, final payments and rates a lender would actually offer for the aircraft.

Questions people ask

Why doesn’t the planner suggest a rate?

Aircraft lending is priced case by case, depending on the lender, the aircraft and how it will be used. The planner only uses a rate you enter, so a guess is never presented as a quote.

Are the term and final payment limits lender policy?

No. The planner accepts terms of 1 to 20 years and a final payment below the amount financed so you can test scenarios. What a lender offers depends on the aircraft, its age, records and use.

What do lenders look at for an aircraft?

Usually the aircraft type and age, maintenance records and hours, valuation, intended use, registration and insurance, and your income and commitments.

Can I send my figures with an enquiry?

Not automatically yet. The enquiry form opens with Aviation selected and the aircraft type and use you chose. Use “Copy my figures” and paste them into the form’s last box.

READY TO TALK ABOUT THE AIRCRAFT?

Planner figures are a guide, not a credit assessment. Tell Christian about the aircraft and how it will be used, and he'll explain what lenders may consider. Your figures aren't attached to the enquiry form yet, so copy them from the planner if you'd like him to see them.
