Boat Loan Calculator
Work out repayments for a boat, jet ski or other personal watercraft, with or without a final balloon payment, using the rate from your quote. Results are illustrations based on your inputs, not financial advice, a quote or an approval. When you're ready, send the scenario to Christian and he'll compare lenders whose policy suits the vessel.
Using the boat loan calculator
Choose personal or business use. The calculator opens on a boat or personal watercraft, and you can switch to another asset.
Enter the price, any deposit or trade-in, any fees added to the loan, the interest rate from your quote and a term of 1 to 7 years (this calculator’s range).
Add a balloon if you want lower regular repayments with a lump sum at the end.
The calculator shows the repayment at your chosen frequency and the total cost. Request your quote and the scenario goes with it.
What it doesn’t include
Lender fees and charges you have not entered.
Marine insurance, registration, mooring, storage, survey or valuation costs.
GST credits or other tax effects for business use.
Whether a lender would approve the loan or accept the vessel.
Questions people ask
Does the type and age of the boat matter?
Yes. Lenders set their own rules on vessel type, age and size, and some require a survey or valuation for larger or older vessels. Christian checks which lenders suit the vessel before you apply.
Can I finance a boat bought privately?
Often, yes. The lender will want the vessel, the seller and any existing finance verified before settlement, and Christian manages that process with you.
What is a balloon payment?
A lump sum due at the end of the loan. It lowers the regular repayments, but you pay more interest overall and need to plan for paying, refinancing or selling at the end of the term.
Can I finance a jet ski or other personal watercraft?
Finance options depend on the craft, the purchase amount and your circumstances, including whether the craft would be taken as security. Christian compares what’s available.
