Equipment Finance Calculator
Compare up to three ways to finance a vehicle or equipment for your business, side by side: repayments, any balloon and the total cost, with GST shown. Results are illustrative and based on the figures you enter, not financial, tax or accounting advice, a quote or an approval. When you're ready, send your results to Christian and he'll talk you through your options.

Questions people ask
What is a chattel mortgage?
A common way for a business to finance a vehicle or equipment: the business owns the asset from the start and the lender holds it as security. Other structures, such as leases, work differently. Which suits you depends on your business and tax position.
Should I finance the GST?
Some businesses finance the full price and claim the GST credit in their next activity statement; others pay the GST upfront. The calculator shows both. Your accountant can confirm how GST credits apply to you.
What does paying in advance or in arrears mean?
In advance means the first repayment is made at the start of the term; in arrears means it is made at the end of the first period. Paying in advance slightly lowers the total interest.
What will a lender need from my business?
Requirements vary by lender and loan size. Lenders commonly consider how long your ABN has been held, GST registration and your financial records. Christian can tell you what each option needs.
